PeekPSD is a browser-based PSD viewer. It parses files locally, shows the layer structure and lets users inspect or export useful assets without uploading the source file to a server.
The product is intentionally a viewer, not a browser-based Photoshop replacement.
Why I built it
The browser can now handle useful file workflows locally. That creates small tools with near-zero processing cost and a clean privacy story.
Biggest lesson
A narrow tool with a specific search job can be more useful than another broad design application.
